Survivors of a plane crash must work together to survive on a seemingly deserted tropical island. Abrams, had an almost completely different cast. See which A-list stars were left out of one of the most popular TV shows of all time. Sawyer’s character was originally supposed to be an older, smarmy, suit-wearing city boy from Buffalo, New York. However, when Josh Holloway forgot to audition and kicked a chair in frustration and cursed loudly, the writers liked his touch on Sawyer’s character and decided to write Sawyer as a dark southerner.

Jin and Sun are married and share the last name «Kwon,» which becomes a major plot point in the final season. However, when Koreans get married, the wife never takes her husband’s last name. In fact, in Korea, it’s not even allowed to marry with the same last name, except in rare cases. [repeated line] Desmond Hume: See you in the next life, bro. At first glance, «Lost» seems like an impossible concept: a group of people stranded on a mysterious island. How many stories can you POSSIBLY get out of it before the idea dries up completely? That’s a legitimate concern, but in the case of «Lost,» it’s completely unfounded. «Lost,» unlike many current shows where the plot drives the characters, is actually the opposite: the characters drive the plot. This is not «CSI» or «Law & Order.» «Lost» features a cast of fascinatingly diverse and tragically flawed characters who must somehow learn to survive together while trying to keep their secrets hidden.
It’s a method to disaster
After living together for a long time, the characters discover that it is impossible to keep their past a secret. Yes, there is a monster on the island. Yes, there are mysterious events. Yes, there is often a sense of fear in the air. But for me, the external problems presented by the island itself are NOTHING compared to the INTERNAL problems that the characters have to face, both with themselves and with each other.
And it is fascinating to watch
That is where the REAL drama lies.
